Colombia is the second one largest producer of coffee on the planet and the largest producer of washed, Arabica coffee. The principle flowering period for Colombia is from April to October. The principle crop harvest lasts from early September to December. The mitacaharvest lasts from March to June. Colombia ships coffee 12 months a year. Antioquia/Medellin is likely one of the larger coffee growing areas in Colombia. This region produces the vast majority of Colombian coffee that may be categorised by bean size grade (e.g. Excelso). Medellins have a medium body and are usually nutty and sweet quite than bright and juicy. The cup is well balanced and will also be enjoyed at any time of day!
